Custom Excerpt for Tag description on Tags page

Hi,

When “readmore” is inserted into Posts, the text before the “readmore” is treated as custom excerpts when displaying the list of posts on tag pages or the front page.

Is it possible to get a similar output for Tag descriptions when Tag items are displayed on Tags page?

I would like to display a smaller controlled number of words for tag descriptions on the Tags page instead of the full, and more lengthy, description on the respective Tag page which lists its corresponding posts.

I hope this made sense.

The only solution is to create a custom helper which will modify your tag description to the required length – you can see a similar solution here: https://getpublii.com/dev/excerpts-with-variable-length/
