Enter URL for Feature Image?

Is there a way to reference an existing featured image by URL?

I’m using Mercury v2.2.0.0 and I’m only able to drag-and-drop an image or select it from the local file system.

I’d like to be able enter a URL for an existing image on my site so that I’m not filling up my local drive and site storage with the same images over and over.

You can use the File Manager and then use the same image between all your posts, unfortunately, it doesn’t work with the featured image, only with the image embedded in the post body.
