Hi,
I just found an issue about GDPR / Youtube embeds, and I dont know how to solve it.
- Youtube has its privacy enhanced youtube-nocookies.com embeds, its not enough.
- Users need to give consent.
- interesting extra: ePrivacy regulation will come into effect soon: https://www.consilium.europa.eu/en/press/press-releases/2021/02/10/confidentiality-of-electronic-communications-council-agrees-its-position-on-eprivacy-rules/
I have one single cookie on my website: youtube embeds, and I don’t want to create a GDPR popup for that only cookie.
The idea is to use youtube-nocookies.com in embeds, and before loading the youtube video put some text, “to play this video you need to provide consent” Can you tell me how to do this? As GDPR ePRivacy regulation will appear soon, will you consider to put a feature like this into the next version of publii? Im just looking for the easiest and simplest way to be GDPR compliant.
Thanks!
