Is there a recommended way to create pages, i.e, content that doesn’t appear in the blog listing and can be used to create a typical brochure website?
Is it more than hiding the post and hiding from home page?
No, hiding it is pretty much it.
You can easily hide stuff like author name and publishing date under Other options in the editor.
And if you want the “pages” to look completely different, you can create a custom post template.
Ah, OK. It makes sense and the custom type would allow me to create a managed look and feel for regular pages. Thanks.
