    Hi,

Which version are you using? In v.0.40 we have updated library responsible for checking if file is binary

Could you share with me backup of your website with this issue via private reply? Because I do not see any other way to reproduce your issue ๐Ÿ™

Your problem is caused by fact that it seems that you have put in your media/files directory catalogs. At this moment Publii file manager does not support catalogs in this location. You can remove it or you are using it for something?

You have me confused. I have the media/files directory opened and all that’s in are folders with images in folders that I figured were featured images

okay a follow up, I deleted everything in that folder and now I no longer have that error.

I never put anything in that folder myself, Publii did it automatically

    Hi Tomasz,

I’ve the same problem. JS error when I edit the Post.
It’s just annoying because I can edit and save posts anyway.

Also in my case it was a problem with a media/files/subfolder.

However, this problem only occurs with v0.40. No in previous versions. In many cases it is convenient to manage files in subfolders.

I hope I don’t have to change the old sites …

The issue is caused by subfolders in media/files directory – by default the file manager does not supports it and the updated library for binary files detection has problem with this. We will release tomorrow v.0.40.1 with hot-fix for this issue ๐Ÿ™‚

@gpsblues – I deleted all the files in my media/files and it didn’t harm my site at all, it made it smaller and everything still shows up

@Tomasz Dziuda – Thanks for the help
