Preparation Error – what does this mean?

The connection to the server is tested and works, but when I try to Sync the site I get this

Rendering process failed
An error occurred during rendering process:

Cannot convert undefined or null to object

Hi,

1) Please check if your theme is compatible with used Publii version

2) Please review your theme – if you have made custom changes, most probably it is a syntax error or wrong value assignment
