Problem with Publii + Bootstrap tutorial on Github

I am following this tutorial

But the menu on Tutorial 04 didn’t work, it seems nothing return from the {{@each items}} loop. Anyone has experience on Publii+Bootstrap?

It seems after upgrade to 0.36.1, the menu cannot be displayed in all themes 😯

@flim, you should start by overriding simple and/or technews

+ the theme you talk about is marked as unfinished.
