Request: Article File Attachments

Could we include the feature of file attachments for articles?

Simplest use case would be for a CV online, but with a designed-for-print word doc they can download.

At the moment I can upload the file using the File Manager, create a custom icon image and embed the image, and link the image to the file. Internally Publii already recognises that the image is part of the article, but not the file.

Hi Tomasz – thanks for replying – publii is fantastic work btw

Truthfully, I didn’t realise that “file” was an option in the link menu, so this does largely address what I need, but I’d like to use an image for the file, and this would be a useful option (and ideally the image to be auto-selected based on the file-type 😉 )

Example below, on the left is the linked file using file manager, on the right is an icon that has been manually setup to link the same way.

Hi,

Maybe in the future we will add such feature as a block to the block editor, but in WYSIWYG editor it will be quite hard to handle as it would require dedicated plugin for TinyMCE (it is easier to create a block for me)
