Search is not working

I opened Theme > Search .
Then https://getpublii.com/docs/search-configuration.html followed this and created search engine here Google Custom Search Homepage.
But then also search is not working.

Hi,

If you’ve done all the documentation steps correctly, this should work. You may need to wait for Google to crawl your pages.

I did something wrong in index related settings.
But now search is working.
Thanks for the help.
I am using Mercury (v.1.8.1.0) theme.
In mobile view it shows 1 column can i change it to 2?

Please check the theme options. Ahh on mobile view… via CSS only.
