Taste ver 2.2.2.0 – [MISSING TRANSLATION]

    Hi,

I’m pretty new to Publii but very impressed with the simplicity. I settled on the Taste theme as it gave me a clean interface I liked but I have just updated to the newer ver 2.2.2.0.

I’m not sure if I’ve missed something but it doesn’t seem to load the translations. Instead of “By <author>” I’m getting “[MISSING TRANSLATION} <Author>”. Similar for other common variables in the that “Previous Post” “Next Post” etc are replaced with [MISSING TRANSLATION].

Any guidance to get this fixed would be appreciated.

Not sure why it doesn’t work for you, I checked it and there is no problem with the language file.
    Check if the taste.lang.json file exists in the following location: ‎⁨(Documents ▸ ⁨Publii⁩ ▸ ⁨sites⁩ ▸ ⁨YOUR_SITE ▸ ⁨input⁩ ▸ ⁨themes⁩ ▸ ⁨YOUR_THEME).

The second thing that comes to mind is, have you changed the name of the theme?

My apologies for the delay in replying – just been rather busy lately.

Thanks for the pointer – it does appear to be a change in name that was the problem. I’m running Publii on OSX, when I downloaded the update because the original version was in the download folder the new version zip file got renamed “taste-2”.  I deleted the old versions from the download area, renamed the updated theme zip back to “taste” – re-installed it and it all worked fine.

    Thanks again for your help.
