WYSIWYG Editor in Post (does this depend on the theme?)

Hello all, new to Publii but really liking it so far. While I was experimenting with my first site I tried a few different themes. I have now settled on Persona_Free (v.1.1.0.0).

One thing I just noticed is that if I create a new post, the editor only shows blocks, I can choose a number of different types of blocks (image, header, paragraph, etc). However, if I look at an existing post I created a little while ago, I see that the editor is powered by tiny and has the full complement of content-type buttons across the top, and a bar of word count, unique words, etc. information on the left-hand side. I would like to always have this editor for my posts, not the more simple block-by-block setup.

Am I right in thinking that this default editor for the post depends on the theme I use? And if so, is there any way I can use this editor in my new posts with the Persona_Free theme? Again, new to this software so there could be something else I am missing.

Thanks for your help, and thanks so much for this great tool!

    Adam

No, it doesn’t depend on the theme. Click the arrow next to the “Add new post” button to get a choice.

Unfortunately it’s not possible to change the editor for existing posts, but you can change the default for new ones.

Hey splendid, there I go again making up theories instead of looking around just a little more. Thank you!
