AMP issues due to Custom JavaScript

    Hello,

    both of my sites started getting issues on Google Search Console re their AMP due to a Custom JavaScript. I’d didn’t change anything on the sites other than adding a custom CSS. How should I start troubleshooting if I have no idea what could cause this?

    Hi,

    In next release planned for beginning of 2023, we will remove AMP support in Publii at all, so we do not touch this functionality anymore.

    If I can suggest (it is not a professional SEO advice – it is my opinion based on internet sources) – please consider disabling AMP as according to the internet sources AMP probably has no longer positive impact on search results as ranking factor: https://www.searchenginejournal.com/ranking-factors/amp-google/

    AMP was designed to make mobile websites faster, but in fact websites generated by Publii usually are pretty fast if implemented correctly, so AMP looks like an additional overhead.
