Newbie here. I’d like to add a background-image, and have found the Custom CSS panel, and uploaded the file via File Manager, but what’s the file path? I’m pulling my hair out over here. Thanks in advance!

    Hi,

Another newbie here, got sick to death of endless updates to WordPress and plugins so found Publii as a nice alternative.

w.r.t. the background image, I’m not an expert so there might be a better way of doing it but I’m using the Taste theme and wanted to add a background image to the hero section. This is what has worked for me so it may prove useful to you.

Basically I’ve spotted when you upload the file via the tools section across the top of the file upload page make sure you select the “media/files” folder and NOT the “root” folder. Upload your image file, this should then appear in your “<website folder>/input/media/files” folder, in my case the image I have is called “Stocks.jpg”

In the custom css file I now have

    Screenshot-2021-10-10-at-00.55.08

    Screenshot-2021-10-10-at-00.57.42

[apologies for the screenshot but Wordfence is blocking any attempt to post css code directly. 👿

    I hope this helps.
