Can users contribute themes?

I am creating a few fairly simple and attractive themes for myself that I would like to modify for general use – replace proprietary images for example. I am also creating some very sophisticated themes for other sites that I would explore modifying for general use – but not exact duplicates of what my site uses which is very specific to a purpose.

Can anyone contribute themes either/both free or paid?

If paid, can the proceeds go to a cause?

If yes, it would take me some time to make this happen of course. I would only do the extra work if I can contribute.

    Cheers!!

Do you have a website or GitHub/Gitlab repo showcasing these custom themes? I’d love to see what others have done, as someone who heavily customizes Publii themes.

There’s another user on here who makes a ton of custom plugins and recently made a website for them. Just wish there was a side market for user-generated stuff. Publii could even take a cut or something.

I would love to see Publii open up their market place to users. This, of course, would mean more work for the Publii crew to validate that any theme submitted meets minimum criteria before posting. I would be willing to write a step by step process in creating a theme, short of how to design a page, and perhaps how to ensure that a template is correct for publication if necessary.

I have created several themes, some of which I deleted and now regret. These were for my own use – particular to a specific site. Recently, I have been making templates that are simpler and could easily be modified for public use. I even make some rather sophisticated templates that would take more work, but would still make great templates for publii.

It would be nice if people can “chuck in” to the development of Publii in this way. Remember, the more templates, the more Publii looks attractive and becomes more useful to more users.

    Cheers!!

Link is down, but here’s the site: https://plugliin.eu.org/

The user is called jomocu. They post on here frequently and there are download links to the plugins on the forum.

I got to the site ok. There are a few plugins I will be trying out and likely use.

    Thanks for sharing!
