For those searching this forum like I was a few days ago, “discard virtual memory kernel32.dll” error on v43 is because you’re running Windows 7 even though the downloads page currently says 7 is supported, it’s not.
Go to https://cdn.getpublii.com/Publii-0.42.1.exe for v42 which works perfectly on Win 7 for me. And yeah, I know we should update to Windows 10 or 11, but some of us are complacent. 🙂
