I recently discovered Publii, I found it easy to use, so I used it for two projects, 1 of them will have few posts and everything is great, but the other project starts to have thousands of posts and becomes more and more heavy, with rendering of images it seems to me that there are too many images that the themes generate, it would be better if external images could be used for the thumbnails instead of loading an image, you could use images only with the url.

I recently discovered a tool similar to publii where external image thumbnails can be used simply by using the image URL, which would make the website lighter to generate the render.

    My question is:
Is it possible that in the future the feature of feeding thumbnails with external images will be implemented only using the URL of the external images?

In the case of a website with thousands of publications generated with publii, is it possible to export the content to another cms or be able to generate an export file to be able to use it, for example, in wordpress or ghost? Is it possible to generate an export of the posts for use elsewhere?(I think this question is very important in the long term, because sometimes some projects necessarily need to scale.)

    Hi,

At this moment we have no plans for such feature regarding images. Regarding content export – database structure is available here:

    https://github.com/GetPublii/Publii/blob/master/app/back-end/sql/1.0.0.sql

I suppose that it is not a big task to ask ChatGPT or similar tools to generate an export tool for your needs 🙂
