Can anyone help me?

I created a new website with Publii:

Selina De Maeyer

When I share this website, Facebook doesn’t pick up any picture for the preview. Did I do something wrong or is it just Facebook acting badly?

Hi Mathias,

It’s a beautiful website. I was getting lost in the stunning photography 🙂

Try inserting your preferred static image on your home page that Facebook can detect above / before the galleries.

Why: perhaps the problem is because your home page has no distinct image but displays the galleries immediately. So maybe Facebook doesn’t know which to choose.

For the page image ( og:image ), Facebook picks up the image at: https://www.selinademaeyer.com/media/website/afb003.jpg . I doubt Facebook would use that. Or insert your preferred Facebook image in the location at: https://www.selinademaeyer.com/media/website/

Yeah, Selina is a world class photographer. I was honoured I could make a website for her! And meanwhile promote Publii 🙂

Thanks to your hints, I found the solution. In fact this is straightforward, out of the box Publii functionality!

Site Settings > Open Graph > Fallback Image.

That’s the image Facebook will use.
