    Hi,

This is my first post here. I cannot use dynamic website anymore and found this for generate static website.

I have a bit experience in WordPress, that have Page and Post. There are only posts in Publii, beside front page, how to create a standalone page in Publii?

    Thanks!

Mark a post as Hidden, and then it will work as a “static” page.

Thank you both for the question and the answer!

I have a related question: what is the best practice for creating content on the root page? (I don’t want post listings there, but rather the content of a post, acting as a home page). I want to avoid hardcoding the content in the theme.

    Thanks.

You can display any post on the front page, just look into theme settings, or edit the index.hbs file ‎⁨(Documents ▸ ⁨Publii⁩ ▸ ⁨sites⁩ ▸ ⁨YOUR_SITE ▸ ⁨input⁩ ▸ ⁨themes⁩ ▸ ⁨YOUR_THEME) and put whatever you want into it.
