I reformatted my HD and lost all files. I downloaded my site files from netlify and want to get them into the right place in my publii/sites directory structure. I’ve got the theme override working fine, no I just need the rest of my posts, media, authors etc.

When I save a post I can fin it in the Preview dir but nowhere else. When I replace the contects of preview and relaunch Publii – I see the temp posts (the new ones) but not those I copied into the dir.

    Help. 🙂

If you do not have a site backup, you cannot restore the site from the rendered files hosted on Netlify.

    Hi

    Thanks for your reply.

That’s strange. I have all the html, css etc files. And I am almost certain I’ve done it once before. Almost… 🙂

But since I have all the files, why isn’t it possible?

Because you have output, not the source files.

    Ok. Thanks.

    I’ll rebuild by hand.

May I suggest that if I can do it – a script can do it faster? 🙂
