I am experiencing the same issue as the one in this post https://forum.getpublii.com/topic/tag-author-pages-not-showing-posts-in-qf-fashion-theme/

But I use the Taste theme. However, the theme on your website hasn’t been updated since 2022. Is this where the problem comes from? If yes, can you point me to how to locate exactly where to change manually the files?

Download the latest Publii and the theme (2.5.1.0) version and update your installation.
It should fix your issue.

so there is only one more option left, that you are overriding the tag.hbs and author.hbs files.

It was my fault. A very bad file management (had two publii folders and links to fropbox etc.) After I regenerated the site from scratch, everything is now in order. It also corrected one other minor issue.
