Taste theme – comments counter and authors email adress

    Hey!
I’m thrilled about using Publii (it’s more than great!), but still haven’t figured out a few things. I created a blog using the Taste theme and:
    a) Why, despite having comments under the post, the post’s comment counter shows 0?
    b) You can add the author’s email in the Publii panel, but it is not displayed on the website. Can you make it visible somehow or do you have to add it directly to the bio?

If you have properly configured Disqus it should work. (https://help.disqus.com/en/articles/1717274-adding-comment-count-links-to-your-home-page)

Intentionally Publii themes do not display the author’s e-mail to prevent unknowingly publishing it. However, you can add support for it by editing the author.hbs file (‎(Documents ▸ ⁨Publii⁩ ▸ ⁨sites⁩ ▸ ⁨YOUR_SITE ▸ ⁨input⁩ ▸ ⁨themes⁩ ▸ ⁨YOUR_THEME) and add the {{email}} tag (remember about the author context). To preserve your custom code and prevent it being overwritten the next time the theme is updated, please ensure that you have created override files; these are, essentially, copies of the existing theme files that are stored separately from the main theme fileshttps://getpublii.com/dev/theme-overrides/
