The updated Technews Theme throws an error when I click on an pre-existing author.

The error states, “Your theme does not support author pages”.

All I did was uninstall the last version and install the latest version. All my author page avatars are now super-sized on their respective rendered pages.

I just reverted to version 2.4.0.0 of the Technews theme, as well as updated to v40.1 of Publii and I still receive the error message when I click on an author’s details.

The resize issue of the author image on the rendered author page is now displaying properly.

For anyone else reading this, I would avoid updating your free themes to their latest versions.

This issue is not related to the theme. You are seeing this message because Publii has a small problem recognizing the “supportedFeatures” flags, but it does not cause any problems – it’s only a message.
We will release the new app version in the upcoming week.

For the second problem, please provide the URL of the author’s page. I checked it on my site and it works very well for me.

Okay. The new app version will solve the Authors error message.

I’m developing locally, so I do not have a URL for you to view…see the attached screenshots.

The attached screenshots illustrate the scaling issue between version 2.4.0.0 and 2.5.0.0

The new theme (2.5.0.0) is not respecting the thumbnail resizing function

By the way, I get a “Regenerate Thumbnail” dialog box after selecting 2.5.0.0 as the theme. I can’t remember receiving that dialog box during past updates.

I think you are overwriting the main.css file, so compare it with the new one.

I am using the theme-override folder, and one of the files included is main.css. However, it’s just color variables that are being overwritten.

I just ran some tests using 2.5.0.0, and I remove the theme-override folder completely. Now that corrects the image resize issue.

There must have been a conflict between those 2 main.css files.

A further test with 2.5.0.0 and no theme-override folder…I do get the image resize issue for the Author at the bottom of every article.
