Is there any way/theme/customization that allows me to add the Table of Contents to right or left sidebar of a blog post?

I think one of the documentation themes has that feature out of the box.

Otherwise, it would be possible to do custom CSS. Find a Codepen or GitHub repo that has the feature you’re looking for, like this one: https://codepen.io/saas/pen/LYENgqq

I suppose that the only way at this moment is to prepare a custom JS script which will move ToC element (if exists) to sidebar
